With the possibility of a good sunset I headed to the wind farm at Dalry hoping to get a shot of the wind turbines with the River Clyde and Isle of Arran in the background and a great sunset, unfortunately it just did not happen this evening as the sunset set fizzled out.

On the 15th I visited an old abandoned building with a few friends, this allow a opportunity for me to take some rather different shots. The light was not the best, most of the shots i was taking where dark and moody which fitted in with the building and the lighting.

On Thursday 28th I spent a full day of the Calmac Ferry which runs from Oban to Barra, via Isle of Coll and Tiree. This is a trip I try to do several times a year as it provides a great opportunity for seeing seabird and marine mammals. The weather was very poor with heavy mist and fog in the morning and rather limited visibility throughout the trip between. On the trip i had good views of basking shark with approximately 8 individuals seen Between Coll and Tiree. A stunning summer plumaged Great Northern Diver was in the bay at Tiree, other seas bird seen include Fulmar, Arctic Tern, Manx Shearwater, Arctic Skua, Great Skua, Gannet, Black Guillemot, Razorbill, Guillemot and Puffin.
