March 2009

March started with short visit to the Isle of Bute to see my folks how where on a coach tour which stopped at Bute. It was rather cold and blustery with squally showers.

Bad weather over the next couple of weeks limited my photography with only a few brief stops at the Dams to Darnley Country Park after work to photograph the first of the spring flowers and the frogs.

On the 19th I head to Duchal Castle again to photograph the waterfalls on the River Greenwater and trees in the nearby fields. More poor weather saw me heading the glasshouses of the Glasgow Botanical Garden on the 23rd.

After work on the 25th I head to Barrhead to photograph the waterfalls of Aurs Glen, the waterfalls are very impressive, but very overgrown which makes it difficult to get a good shot.

Poor weather on the west coast saw me head to Edinburgh Zoo, the weather was much better and great day was had.

On the 31st I went out with my local camera club ‘scapes’ group, we headed south to Portencross, however the light was very poor.
