February 2008
After a very wet January, February continued with more heavy rain, so on the 4th I headed to the local supermarket to buy some tulips to try some still life set ups.

After three days of stunning sunsets, I finally managed to catch up with one of them on 13th as I travelled home from work. I stopped above Langbank and took a series of shots overlooking the river Clyde before the colours quickly fizzled out.

On the 14th and 15th I visited the site of the Duchal Castle near Kilmacolm, Renfrewshire with a few friends. Only several small sections of the castle wall remain, however the deep ravines in which the Green Water and Blacketty Water flow have many interesting small waterfall with great water movement.
After a misty morning I made a visit to shores of Loch Lomond at Milarrochy Bay on the 18th. I spent most of the afternoon walking along the west highland way and photographing along the way.
The isle of Bute was the destination for a day out on the 19th, the weather was great and it looked like it may be a great sunset so I continued down the coast to Ardrossan to photograph a sunset over the Isle of Arran.
On the 25th I visited Glengarnock Castle; near Kilbirdie in Ayrshire was the seat of the Cunninghams of Glengarnock. It was once a great castle but was abandoned and left to decay in the 18th century. A careful climb down the steep banking takes you to the River Garnock. The visit was ended early as heavy rain moved in quickly from the west.
I made a visit to Cambo estate on the 26th to see their stunning Snowdrop display. Before returning back along the coast road, stopping briefly at Crail.
