On Boxing Day I set off for Amsterdam aboard the P&O Pride of Hull Ferry, arriving at Europort early on the 27th on what was a rather grey day. A short coach ride and I was exploring city of Amsterdam which was to be my home for a couple of days.
During my short stay I spent much of my time photographing the canals, bikes and architecture. I also visited the zoo and botanical gardens before returning to Hull on the Pride of Rotterdam.
Despite the grey weather and flat lighting I was pleased with some of the shots and would like to visit Amsterdam again either during a very cold period when the canals are frozen or in the summer when the tree lined canals are in leaf.
